Research overview

Future Farm Industries CRC research activity is carried out as discrete projects. These projects are grouped into programs based on different research themes (see colour coded project names in diagram above and listed below). Research projects are also grouped based on the farming system within which the research outputs will be utalised.

The five key farming systems, EverCrop, Enrich and EverGraze projects, New Woody Crops program and Saltland System projects are shown as the head of the arrow (right of diagram). Projects with outputs feeding into these systems are shown to the left and are aligned to farming systems where their research outputs will find applications. Output from projects shown at the far left of the diagram has the longest research phase before industry ready results are expected (longer distance to market). Projects labelled ‘enabling’ in the diagram are those that connect technologies developed in other projects to the systems where they will have the greatest impact.
