Guidelines for growing lucerne – a first for Western Australia


Western Australian farmers now have a guide to help them determine whether the perennial pasture plant
lucerne can add value and increase the profitability and sustainability of their business.

A first of its kind, the Lucerne Guidelines for Western Australia publication highlights the benefits that lucerne
has to offer WA farmers by communicating the experiences of local researchers and farmers with growing this
perennial pasture plant.

Future Farm Industries Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) ceased trading on 30 June 2014.
