Future Farm Online is the website for the Future Farm Industries CRC. Future Farm Industries CRC was established on 2 July 2007, created from the success of the Cooperative Research Centre for Plant-based Management of Dryland Salinity (CRC Salinity), which established innovative land-use systems to reduce the impacts of dryland salinity – one of Australia’s largest and intractable environmental problems.
Building on the legacy of CRC Salinity, Future Farm Industries CRC is developing a suite of new and innovative perennial-based farming systems and technologies for use in southern Australia. The CRC also encourages the adoption of technologies developed by CRC Salinity.
Until it ceases operation in 2014, Future Farm Industries CRC will invest $119 million in research and development, education and training, commercialisation and adoption of new farming systems in Australia’s southern temperate broadacre farming regions.
