Measuring results for a lasting legacy

Last month I indicated that the Industry Use Plans (IUPs) are on their way as part of the CRC’s transition from research to adoption to practice change. I’m really excited about this next phase of our work because, for the first time, we’ll be able to measure the impact we’ve been making.

In addition to the IUPs, Scott Glyde and the adoption team have been developing the monitoring and evaluation reporting (MER) framework which will be rolled out to projects in coming months. By using a template style, everyone involved will easily be able to see how their projects are progressing towards hitting their targets. And the good news is that any issues can be identified now and adjusted accordingly to keep projects on track for 2014.

This is an important step – after all, we’re making claims about what we think we’re going to achieve, and the IUPs and MER will measure if we’re going to reach our outcomes. Together, these processes are laying a strong foundation for FFI CRC’s post-2014 legacy benefits.
